The Studio at Stoodley Pike View

Come and enjoy our hilltop retreat (TV drama Happy Valley filming spots a stones throw away). We have nature and stunning walks from the door step (including The Bridestones 20min walk and Hardcastle Craggs 10min drive). The Studio is an all-in-one unit with kitchenette, lounge, bed & en-suite. There's an outdoor area for enjoying the views. We accept well behaved dogs £10 per stay. £10 for extra linen if single sofa bed required. 1 night stays available.

The Studio forms part of a wider farm and enjoys a private entrance and separate garden space. The farm track to the property is around 200m long, off the main road. It is a working farm track and has large potholes awaiting renovation so if you have a low chassis vehicle this may not be the spot for you. We are also on the hilltops up winding narrow lanes so not for the faint hearted. The studio is attached to our main house. We have WiFi but not particularly strong, so not suitable for working unfortunately. The Studio is an all in-one-unit with a separate shower and toilet room with saloon door. There is a step into the shower and bed is high so might not be suitable if you have accessibility requirements. Otherwise its splendid!

We are around most of the time, if not we are only a phone call away. Depending on schedule I can provide breakfast, evening meals and laundry for an additional fee if organised in advance.

We are a community based neighborhood with many alternative sustainable ideas flying around, which you will probably pick up on in the local towns. Todmorden is famous for it's 'incredible edible' initiative where people can pick fruit, veg and herbs from planters dotted all across town.

We are out in the sticks, so transport is by car. There are buses to Hebden Bridge from Blackshaw Head but this is a long walk. You can walk to Todmorden but this is around an hour and the uphill walk back is pretty tough. Todmorden is accessed by train from Manchester or Leeds.
